Information management in the 21st century Meritorious Service Award winner Alison Elliott

Alison Elliot, who is Director of Content Services for the National Library of New Zealand, recently stepped down from her role as Chair of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) technical committee 46, subcommittee 4, Information and documentation – Technical interoperability (ISO/TC 46/SC 4). During her 6 years as Chair, Alison proved to be a strong leader who was able to build consensus and guide the subcommittee through the publication of several amendments, revisions, and new Standards for cataloguing, databases, and information access.

ISO/TC 46/SC 4 develops international Standards that enable interoperability and accessibility to information and documentation. The subcommittee has direct responsibility for 25 published ISO Standards. Read more.
