Standards New Zealand is undertaking a limited technical review of NZS 3910:2003 Conditions of contract for building and civil engineering construction. NZS 3910 is the most widely used Standard form of contract conditions in New Zealand. It provides a Standard form of general conditions of contract written in plain English for incorporation into construction contract documents. It has been developed to meet current and future needs offering a form of contract that can be and is used in all types of construction (vertical and horizontal). The Standard offers clarity, simplicity, flexibility, and fairness.
The draft Standard is now open for public comment, with submissions due by Friday, 9 November 2012. To give feedback on the draft, please go to our website and click on the 'Public Comment' tab on the top right of the homepage.
