Supreme award

15 August 2007

Standards New Zealand is delighted to announce their sponsorship of the Supreme Award in the 2007 New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards.

Begun in 2005, the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards are the premier awards for recognising excellence in New Zealand's engineering profession. The awards are presented in two major areas: Individual Awards, that recognise leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and our young engineers; and Category Awards, that recognise achievement in the eight industry areas, together with a Supreme Award for the best of the Category winners.

Engineering Standards set the benchmarks for all engineering work and engineering related equipment in New Zealand. Standards New Zealand works closely with the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) across all disciplines of engineering.

Not only do the New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards allow engineers to acknowledge the work and talent of their peers but they also serve to raise the public awareness of the role of engineers in our community. Past finalists and winners represent the many examples of innovative projects and the engineers behind them.

This year’s Award winners will be announced on Wednesday 21 November 2007 at Te Papa.
