What's the difference between hard copy, Online Library subscription, network, and PDF standards?

The different versions are as follows:

  • Hard copy is the printed version of the standard.
  • Online Library subscription is the ability to view standards online via our website. This facility incurs an annual subscription fee. Standards should not be downloaded but one copy can be printed by each authorised user for temporary use.
  • Network refers to a standard that is stored on an organisation's server for access by staff. users pay a network licensing fee  for this service.
  • PDF is the electronic format of the standard – these can be purchased via our website and downloaded to a personal computer
