Part 1 (Securing points on vehicles operated on roads) specifies the performance requirements, and gives some examples that meet the performance requirements, for load anchorage securing points and their connection to the body structure and/or chassis of road vehicles. Part 2 (Securing points on vehicles carried on 'ro-ro' ships) specifies the minimum requirements for securing points on load carrying road vehicles for securing the vehicle on board 'ro-ro' ships.

6.4(3) The use of segregation devices, except those used for diagnostic specimens and biological products that are transported under 6.4(5), must comply with the following:
(m) a vehicle on which segregation devices are used to segregate dangerous goods of Class 3, 4 or 5 must be constructed so that it:
(ii) has load anchor points that comply with the requirements of New Zealand Standard 5444:2005, Load Anchorage Points for Heavy Vehicles; and
