Wind farm noise Standard – new short film

Issue 19 – August 2010

A new short film provides an introduction to the New Zealand Standard for Acoustics – Wind farm noise NZS 6808:2010. The film was produced by the New Zealand Wind Energy Association with the support of EECA and Standards New Zealand.

The film covers:

a brief description of sound from wind turbines
the limits recommended in the 2010 Standard
how the Standard was developed
and how it will be used.
