Gas installation Standard appendices H and I now available as free downloads
It's important that gasfitters carry out the correct testing and commissioning of all gas appliances and installations. Gas installation NZS 5261:2003 specifies the criteria for safety, performance, and compliance for gas installations.
Standards New Zealand now offers Appendix H, Guidelines for gas appliance commissioning, and Appendix I, Large installation commissioning, free to download as PDFs. It's important to note that Appendix H and Appendix I of Gas installation NZS 5261:2003 offer general guidelines that should not be used in place of the specific commissioning instructions that accompany individual appliances.
Appendix O, Gas installation checklist is also free to download as a PDF.

The gas installation included two 45 kg LPG cylinders and it was found that the external unit of a heat pump was too close to the cylinders. The heat pump had been installed after the gas installation had been completed, so it was the electrical work that was the problem, not the gas installation itself.

[more]ISO Standards for the oil and gas sector increasingly adopted
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) international Standards for the oil and gas sector are being increasingly adopted by regional or national Standards bodies in North and South America, China, Europe, the Gulf states, Kazakhstan, and Russia, and increasingly being referenced in national regulations.
This progression is highlighted in the 2010 edition of the OGP Standards Bulletin, published by the Standards Committee of the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) whose members in 80 countries produce more than half of the world's oil and about one-third of its gas.
