Methods of test for pulp and paper – revised Standards

Two parts of the Standard for methods of test for pulp and paper have been revised.

  • Methods of test for pulp and paper – Determination of pH of aqueous extracts – Cold extraction method, AS/NZS 1301.421:2008 specifies a method for the determination of the pH-value defined by the electrolytes extractable by cold water from a sample of paper, board, or pulp.  Supersedes AS/NZS 1301.421s:1998.
  • Methods of test for pulp and paper – Folding strength of Paper – Kohler-Molin method, AS/NZS 1301.423:2008 prescribes the procedure to be used to determine the folding strength of paper, measured as either folding endurance or the mean of the number of double folds, using a Kohler-Molin folding strength tester.  Supersedes AS/NZS 1301.423RP:1997.
