Wind turbine generators – revision underway

Standards New Zealand established a committee in July to review the 1998 wind turbines Standard, NZS 6808.  Publication of the draft Standard for public comment is planned in early 2009.  Release of the Standard, The assessment and measurement of sound from wind turbine generators, is planned by October 2009.

New Zealand Wind Energy Association and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority are joint sponsors of the revision of the Standard.
