New sustainability website for building industry professionals

26 June 2007

Sustainability is an increasingly popular subject, and in the building and development sector alone there is a wealth of information.  BRANZ has created a new website www.level.org.nz which brings together 15 years of scientific research into sustainable building practice.

LEVEL provides a single, comprehensive information source on sustainable building information with links to relevant Standards, documents and guides. Designed for building and construction professionals, LEVEL is an online technical resource, intended to provide practical information on how to design and construct sustainable buildings.

LEVEL will help you design and build homes which have less impact on the environment and are healthier, more comfortable, and have lower running costs.

Standards New Zealand would like to congratulate BRANZ on the development and launch of the LEVEL website. “Standards New Zealand is working progressively more in the area of sustainability. We are delighted to see initiatives such as LEVEL that bring together all industry sources to provide one comprehensive and informative information point on such a key topic,” said Grant Thomas, Chief Operating Officer, Standards New Zealand.

LEVEL will be added to in coming months, including the results of BRANZ research. The site will also be updated as changes are made to Standards and the NZ Building Code.
